Yes.

On a warm July day in Minnesota, an exciting thing happened. Dakota and Andrew got engaged at the foot of Kawishiwi Falls near the town of Ely.

The Falls

The name Kawishiwi in the Ojibwe language means “river full of beaver or muskrat houses”. The watershed drains from the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and flows 2,000 miles north to Hudson Bay.

The Moment

As Dakota was focused on snapping photos, Andrew very clandestinely fumbled through his pockets to find the ring. As he asked her to be a partner for future adventures like this one, she started crying and exclaiming "yes, of course".

The Ring

This solitaire style ring, named Greylands is of French or American design sometime in the mid-1930's. After the U.S. began its recovery from the Great Depression, Hollywood and all its glamour became the influence of this era of jewelry. This ring, as was the style, is three-dimensionally set so you can see all parts of the diamond.
